Content isn’t the only king anymore. News companies will have to sell a combination of content, easy access to content and service, says Ken Doctor, U.S. media analyst and author of „Newsonomics: Twelve New Trends That Will Shape the News You Get”).

Before he became an independent consultant Ken Doctor was an economic strategist for Knight Ridder. He reports on new journalistic trends on his web site „Newsonomics.com“ and for the Nieman Journalism Lab. VOCER visited the media expert in his office in Santa Cruz and asked him about strategic choices for financing important and civic-minded news in the future.
